Entergy or CenterPoint? Check before you believe any quote
Here's the fact most solar companies gloss over: The Woodlands is split between two utilities with opposite economics. Part of the Township sits in CenterPoint's deregulated territory — you pick your Retail Electric Provider and can shop solar buyback plans paying roughly 7–10¢ per exported kWh on strong fixed plans as of mid-2026. Other areas are served by Entergy Texas, a regulated utility — no plan shopping at all; Entergy is your provider and its own tariff governs how exported solar is credited.
